MICTTD through the Marine Division (SAR Unit) is committed to preserving the safety of life on the land and waters subject to the jurisdiction of Kiribati. In order to fulfil this commitment, SAR Unit within the Marine Division needs to fulfil the three commitment goals below;

  • To deliver timely, efficient and effective, search and rescue services.
  • To promote cooperation among providers of search and rescue services in Kiribati and with our regional search and rescue partners.
