Marine Division Vacancy Positions Announcement

The Ministry of Information, Communication, and Transport (MICT) is pleased to announce the opening of the following vacancies through its Marine Division.

These positions are contracted for a duration of two years and are funded by the Government of New Zealand under its Pacific Maritime Safety Programme Phase 3 Variation.

The vacancies are as follows:

  • 1 Small Craft Enforcement and Compliance Deck Officer – salary level 14
  • 1 Small Craft Enforcement and Compliance Engineer Officer – salary level 14
  • 1 Domestic Ship Safety Enforcement and Compliance Officer – salary level 10
  • 1 VHF, Tower & Beacon Maintenance Officer – salary level 10 and
  • 1 Assistant VHF, Tower and Beacon Maintenance Officer – salary level of 14

To apply, please submit the following documents in a closed envelope addressed to the Human Resource Officer, MICT;

  1. Your signed application letter indicating the name of the post or posts that you wish to apply for
  2. Certified copies of your certificates
  3. A Clean Police clearance Certificate of not more than 3 months old from the date of application.

However, for the Positions of Small Craft Enforcement and Compliance Officers and Domestic Ship Safety Enforcement and Compliance Officer – please also provide a Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) and Certificate of Proficiency (CoP)
